Q1:	How can I change the name and/or the address shown on my Tax Permit
A:	You can use our online business change form by following the 'Change in Business Registration' link form the department homepage or by downloadingthe Business Change Form from our website.

Q2:	I filled out the online sales tax permit form. When can I begin business?
A:	You can start your business as soon as you submit the online application.

Q3:	If I have completed and submitted my application form and then realize that I made a mistake, how can I make changes?
A:	You cannot make any changes to a form that has been signed and submitted. If you need to make any such changes, please contact the Taxpayer Services.

Q4:	I need to take a name off of the Corporate Officer list how do I go back and correct this information?
A:	You cannot access your application for editting if you have signed and submitted it for processing. Please call a customer care representative at 515-281-3114 for assistance.

Q5:	I filed online for a sales tax permit approximately four weeks ago, and have not received it. I have forgotten my login and pin. How can I find the status of my application?

Q6:	I have lost my password and pin number for applying for sales tax permit. Can I get a new one? And, can I print copies of my on-line application to provide to suppliers?

Q7:	How long does it take to have a permit issued.
A:	It notrmally takes about 4 weeks to have a permit issued. If it has been longer than 4 weeks and you have not received your permit, please call a customer care representative at 515-281-3114 for assistance.

Q8:	I am unable to complete my application for a business permit online. Is there another way I can complete the process without using the online application?
A:	Yes. You can download a paper format of the Iowa Business Tax Registration Form. You can then mail or fax the completed application form to the department at the address or fax number shown on the form.
